Pebble Beach Estate
Pebble Beach, ocean view estate with an emphasis on traditional furnishings, soft hews, and custom designed rugs, all against the 12th green on Pebble Beach Golf Course. With it’s boldly curved gables, the architecture is reminiscent of historical Cape Dutch. The residence has six bedrooms, including two elegant bedroom suites with sitting rooms.

About the Pebble Beach Estate Project
The design team created a pale taupe, tone-on-tone scheme for the living room. The artful use of variegated moss fringe around silk pillows and custom-crafted medallion wool carpets from Edward Fields add richness to the monochromatic scheme. The floral draperies are custom made with fabric by Lee Jofa. The taupe leather-upholstered, Louis XIV style fauteuils and faux stone coffee table are by J. Robert Scott. The matching sofas are upholstered in Scalamandre chenille. Local artist, Ami Magill, was brought in to create distinctive wall patterns and ornamental ceilings. The oil painting is a seascape by Scott Christensen.
The dining room has windows looking out to the Pebble Beach forest. The carpet has a motif of soft green and tan leaves on a neutral base and the Calvin Fabrics’ damask drapery also has design of leaves that echoes the feel of the carpet. The ceiling has a central inset dome where recessed lights give a romantic glow in the evening. A circular William Switzer table can accommodate ten or twelve when necessary.
Upstairs, the master bedroom that overlooks the ocean is comfortable and cosseting. There is a delicately painted ceiling reminiscent of an Aubusson carpet. The floral design fabric is by Rose Cumming. The window treatments are tailored roman shades of cotton taffeta in a small check. Chairs are upholstered in Bergamo fabric and a soft wool custom carpet by Stark completes the scheme.
We have had such a pleasure working on this residence. It’s a happy place, a home to enjoy in a very privileged setting. Pebble Beach is one of the most luxurious locations in the world.

This project was based on very traditional design for an East Coast couple who did a lot of entertaining. The house consists of six bedrooms and seven and a half baths and sits on the prestigious Pebble Beach Golf links. Custom-made oriental carpets were used throughout the house, crystal chandeliers, warm-toned draperies, and loads of wallpaper created a grand feel for this project. The master bedroom sits on the second floor with grand ocean views and we painted the ceiling reminiscent of an old Aubusson carpet. We had such a pleasure working on this residence. It’s a grand setting in a very privileged community.
